James Broad, known as JB, is a young, charismatic media personality, antique aficionado & auctioneer. With an infectious enthusiasm for all things old and beautiful –  JB has carved a niche for himself in the world of antiques.

James is most recognisable from his appearances on popular television programmes such as BBC1s ‘The Bidding Room’, BBC1s Antiques Roadshow, BBC1s Travelling Auctioneers and Discovery’s ‘The Great Antiques Challenge’.

James’s love for antiques isn’t confined to the television screens, he brings his passion for design & antiques to life. From sourcing unique pieces to curating beautiful spaces, JB’s work reflects his belief that every antique has a story to tell. The items he buys are not just about aesthetics, but about weaving together the threads of history, craftsmanship and has love for every piece he acquires.

In addition to running his own business, he’s also manager & auctioneer at Whittaker & Biggs Auctioneers. He takes to the rostrum every two weeks and sells over 1400 lots each auction – with online auctions now attracting bidders across the UK & even internationally – the world of auctions is one that is becoming globally popular.

JB’s journey in the antique industry is driven by his love for the craft and the story each piece holds. Whether he’s haggling over a vintage lamp on the Bidding Room, hunting for hidden gems or selling 1000’s of items on the rostrum, JB brings his passion, enthusiasm, expertise, & charm to every endeavour – he is an expert contributor & presenter – his knowledge & passion make him a go to in thee world of vintage interiors & he has fast becoming one of the most in demand personalities in the industry.
